3D CHARACTER ANIMATOR

We are looking for a talented 3D Character Animator to join our art team.
Ideal candidates can cleanly and efficiently animate a broad range of actions, we never know what will need to be animated next.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Maya.
  • Strong command of fundamental and traditional animation principles such as weight, anticipation, over-shoot, squash & stretch, timing, etc.
  • Able to create seamless animation cycle. such as dancing, run and walk cycles.
  • Ability to work from home,

Pluses

  • Animation Mentor or similar industry-led training.
  • Drawing and conceptual design skills.
  • Experience with 3D modeling, texturing, or rigging.
  • If you consider yourself a generalist that makes us very happy.

3D CHARACTER ARTIST

General modeling, sculpting, and texturing of all characters under strict poly count budgets. The ideal candidate must be well rounded, able to create everything from mid evil armor to organic clothing such as dresses and formal wear.  Must be able to meet deadlines and work under preset time budgets. Supports character riggers and animators to facility proper character animations.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge in Maya, Photoshop, and a sculpting program such as zBrush or Mudbox
  • Strong skills in texturing is a must. Needs to understand the proper uses of a diffuse map, normal map, and a specular map.
  • Able to create low poly mesh with good typology that is able to deform when animated.
  • Familiarity with general character are generation pipeline

Pluses

  • Strong traditional art background and understanding of anatomy
  • Experience creating environments and props
  • Character animation skills.
  • Strong familiarity with current game engines (UDK, Unity, etc.)

 

3D ENVIRONMENT ARTIST

General modeling, sculpting, and texturing of all non-character assets. Sets up lighting environments and scenes. Assists level designers, including setting up environment collision.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge in Maya, Photoshop, and a sculpting program such as zBrush or Mudbox
  • Familiar with the baking process , knowledge of x normal and crazy bump.
  • Strong portfolio showing your ability to create beautiful , living, breathing environments.

Pluses

  • Knowledge of lighting, asset placement, scripting, and general level editing
  • Strong traditional art background
  • Familiarity with current game engines (UDK, Unity, etc.)
  • Character modeling skills
